DM Workbench

The week you build it,
and the night you run it.

Cards for every character, place, faction and item, with lines between them that say what the relationship is. Maps with numbered rooms. An initiative tracker for the night it all happens.

No card required to start planning your next session or campaign.

The week before

Dynamic storytelling, without the busywork.

Every character, place, faction and plot thread lands on one board, connected the way you imagine them. Drag a line from one card to another and write what ties them together. No wiki to build, no folders to file. The story stays in front of you.

A mind map purpose-built for tabletop gaming and storytelling

Every piece of your story becomes a card.

1

Thirteen card typesCharacters, places, factions, items, events, creatures, encounters, mechanics, handouts, read-aloud text, notes, pictures and nested boards.

2

Write on the linesFree text on any connection, plus a tone. A hostile line draws red, so you can take in a board at a glance.

3

A parking lotHalf-written things stay off the board until they earn a place. You never have to file.

Art on every card

Upload it, import it, or generate it.

Bring your own art, keep what an imported module carries, or generate a portrait in the app. AI is a choice, never a requirement: the prompt is shown first, in a box you can rewrite, and nothing is sent until you press the button. These four were made in the app, for the campaign above.

Module import

Import published modules to plan and visualize the flow of the game.

It comes back as linked cards, ordered encounters, and a board per dungeon level with every keyed room placed and numbered.

1

Numbered pins, not pixelsCards on a map draw as pins that hold their size at any zoom, listed in a legend you can put on the map itself.

2

Renumbered for the tableFive of five shown to players, renumbered 1–5 so the gaps give nothing away.

The night itself

Then the four hours at the table.

Damage is a log, so you type the number you heard and the current total recomputes. Every creature is its own row: three wererats roll separately, bleed separately, and drop separately.

1

Players see their own rowNames and initiative for everyone. Hit points for themselves and nobody else.

2

Seven rules librariesD&D 5.1 and 5.2 SRD, Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e, Tales of the Valiant, Basic Roleplaying, Blades in the Dark.
